I found out through recent experience that in the state of tennessee you have to be 18 or older and have a prescription to get what is known as the morning-after pill. It is a pill to be taken within 72 hrs of having unprotected sex to prevent getting pregnant. For my final speech tournament I am going to write a bill to change that law to where you can be at least 16 and you dont need a prescription. plz let me know what your views are on this. Feel free to give both sides so i can build a good and strong debate.

peace out,
Blondie

Well in denmark the view is a bit different :P sex is legal at the age of 15.
I don't know if there is any age limit for buying those kind of pills, but they are easy to get, so young people don't get children.

In my point of view you should be able to protect yourself if you are ready for sex.

(Other various danish laws: Driver license = 18 years of age // Drinking age = 16 years of age)
i so agree with that. hey i know its off topic but could you send me some chocolate? i miss good european chocolate
are there any reports of kids overdosing on the morning afterpill or abusing it? just because it's a pill doesn't mean it has recreational uses. This isn't about protecting kids, this is about conservative christian groups insisting that any sex outside of marriage is immoral, that a view of when life begins can be viewed as anything other than religion, and that abstinence should be the only policy. Same reason teachers couldn't even mention masturbation in my state's(virginia) sex-ed classes. People's strongest instict is their sex-drive, there's no stopping sex.

also spray-paint is locked up in some states because graffiti artists steal it, that's more to protect the business than kids, but people still find ways to get it
there are no reports of the pill being overdosed on b/c the only allowed to give one dosage out at a time
word
in the uk- sex is legal at 16 and to get the pill you just have to walk into a pharmacy (no perscription needed) a doctors surgery or a family planning clinic. (At least thats what it used to be - i think it still is)
