I'm somewhat good at grinding but apparetly when you grind like brian aragon its looks 10x better and people say its easier.
I've created this discussion to see what you as rollerbladers think and give points on how to get into that position. which is close to the rail with most body parts bent.

If that is to advanced then i'd like to know how to do that but with the body behind the blades.

P.S. the picture isnt that good so if you want to see where i got it ... http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=9kJ4lC9Rf8w 0:15 - 0:20

well when u do get closer to the rail/ledge, it lowers ur center of gravity and it kinda makes it easier on grinds.

but i think when you are higher up i think its easier to correct balance mistakes than when you are lower just because it is easier to move around when you are more extended.

and seriously who cares what people think, just skate for yourself

Lets see, when I hit rails I like to get low so I have some bounce, also I think about the grind a split second before I actually do it, I just visualize myself landing the trick. I know it probably sounds crazy but it works for me. haha. You definently get some style points when you stay low on your grinds plus your balance is a lot better too. I think I have a unique style when I skate, somewhere between Dominic Sagona and Chris Haffey. So really its all about what feels comfortable to you.

you will be able to balance a million times better if you stand up a bit. sitting down on grinds is so 90's (unless your gonzo, who is short as fuck or your doing a tru ao top porn on something high) plus when you sit on grinds it takes alot more effort to switch em up. and skate fast as shit, that will help

agreeeeeeeeeeee speed is key to makin tricks looks nice and helps sooooo much when ur gettin low. Once you start getting use to hitting rails/ledges with a good amount of speed then your tricks are gonna look alot smoother. Downside is when you miss at full speed you will eat shit for sure lol

the better you get the faster you go the more stlye and control u have to "position" yourself in a stylish way.if your grinding and u look like a pencil you got alot to learn before your look sick...and honesly if your lookin un-stylish speed carving and ramps and new tricks should be top priority not looking good when your good it shows without stressin it...also work on your style not brians.
