I know where you are coming from with your question but the details are still not there. What can you do right now, have you hit any hand rails yet or been in any AM comps? when I was skating for K2 back in highschool I always saw myself as a beginner, nothing made me change my mind about that. When you start skating with pros and you are landing the stuff they do I guess you can be considered an amatuer. I still see myself as a beginner though, even though I can hit rails, do my switch up and land my tricks there is always something new I can learn. for example, I have cess slides dialed but I am working on 540 and 720 cess slides right now, so I guess I am considered a beginner in those. What I am saying may sound confusing but my point is doen't go out there with the idea that you are a beginner or an amatuer. Just go out there and skate, have fun, try to land your tricks, try new stuff, but just go out there and do your thing.
Yea, dont label yourself.

I'm a skater.
hes perfectly correct, there is a bigger picture in rollerblading that you have to experience, sure you could be a am but no matter what always improve yourself there is always room fo improvement even when you become pro ;)
Agreed dude, is not about bein pro or am or whatever. Is about bein you n skatin for you! Ask a pro, prob tell ya they skate cus they love it n it just happens they're good enuff to have a company throw money/stuff at em. I know its not quite the same thing but I was a pro fire performer for 8 yrs. Met loadsa people that could do the shit I do (just not quite as well) n to them I was a sellout cus I "turned pro".The simple fact was I was doin street shows n small club gigs n a dude offered me really good money to go to his club n do a full hr long show. Thats how I "turned pro", had fun for 8 yrs then it stopped bein fun so I stopped doin it. Still doin stuff n will gladly light up if someone asks but regardless of the fact that I was regarded as the best in the country at what I was doin, I still loved meetin up with people n swappin tricks n stuff with em regardless of skill level. Had an apprentice n he worked out a trick I'd never even seen before n he was only at it a month. Point bein, do it cus its fun n ya love it! That way its always fun. Personally I'll never be a pro-skater n dont really care (tho it'd be VERY kool) I do aspire to get to that level someday tho n hopefully I will (tho I seriously doubt it!) peace out dude
