I have had the same bearings for six months now and they're still rolling strong. I clean them every one to two months depending on how they're holding up. The other thing you need is Sonic Citrus Bearing Cleaner, which is available here http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-SCC.html at Inline Warehouse. Also, a tool that I use that makes it easier is http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-BBCU2.html which holds the bearings and lets you shake the solution into them.

The cleaning process goes like this:
1. Take your bearings out of your wheels
2. Use a flat head screw driver to pry off the bearing shield(red rubber thing)
3. If you have the bearing cleaner tool, put the bearings in it and pour some of the cleaning solution into it.
4. Shake well or rinse them well if you do not have the tool
5. Let them air dry
6. Put one to two drops of lubrication into each bearing.
7. Reassemble and your done!
Good tips.

Are ceramic bearings better than steel ones?
