Permalink Reply by Johnny Rodriguez on April 9, 2010 at 10:19pm I never rode vert when I was a kid. I liked rails, boxes/planters and wicked big parking lot gaps.I tried to hit ride up the quarter pipe turn and roll back down but that was a FAIL i went straight to the concrete, I'm having trouble with i didn't think it was gonna be this hard but hey it looks like i have some work ahead of me.if theirs any one who has tips for over coming riding up and down a quarter pipe droping in on a mini ramp PLEASE feel free to hit me up, also i need help on riding backwards i notice most skaters put one foot ahead of the other why is that. SOrry to sound like a pain but help would be appreciated,

I'm not terribly interested in riding vert now that I'm old-man status, either. But I did drop in on the mini bowl at the city skate park down the road and felt awfully sketchy. No FAIL, but I just didn't feel at all comfortable on it.
You ask about riding backwards, and why one foot in front of the other. Are you talking about when you're coming back down the ramp?
Permalink Reply by Johnny Rodriguez on April 10, 2010 at 11:37am it's a balance thing. gonna be easier to ride the tranny backwards with your feet slightly offset like you describe
