Ok fellas i got my razors in the mail today and let me tell you it felt pretty damn good just to skate around i didn't get to technical with it but it was great to be out for an hr. i do want to add that i will be changing my bearing to some reds cause the abec3 aren't cuttin it for me.if any one has any tips for me on how to get into the groove again let me know cause i'm a BIT rusty lol.

Thanks for all the support.
I just found a local skate park...I rolled around on the quarter pipes to get the feel of the transitions again and did some simple grinds on the short boxes...I havent skated for 8 years or so (I'm 32 now), It will come back to you once your balance is back...

I turn 30 in June. Haven't skated since I was 18 years old, but we used to skate a lot in high school. Then came college and girls and beer and stuff. And also 12 year olds were doing sick gap to rail hits. When I started skating in like 1994, the whole scene was brand new.

I just hit up my local park yesterday (because there were no kids there) and it felt pretty good. Gonna take a while for me to get back on to street rails, but I'd really like to get back in to the sport just to keep myself active in the warmer seasons when I can't snowboard.

Hope that helps man, if I can do it, so can you.
Ok so today i went to the nearest skate park at first their was a ton of bikers then the soon left any way.Believe it or not i was nervous as hell it took me a while to actually roll down the box after i got warmed up to it i was riding up the box then down the box a bit wobly but i still did it. I tried to hit ride up the quarter pipe turn and roll back down but that was a FAIL i went straight to the concrete, I'm having trouble with i didn't think it was gonna be this hard but hey it looks like i have some work ahead of me.if theirs any one who has tips for over coming riding up and down a quarter pipe droping in on a mini ramp PLEASE feel free to hit me up, also i need help on riding backwards i notice most skaters put one foot ahead of the other why is that. SOrry to sound like a pain but help would be appreciated,

I never rode vert when I was a kid. I liked rails, boxes/planters and wicked big parking lot gaps.

I'm not terribly interested in riding vert now that I'm old-man status, either. But I did drop in on the mini bowl at the city skate park down the road and felt awfully sketchy. No FAIL, but I just didn't feel at all comfortable on it.

You ask about riding backwards, and why one foot in front of the other. Are you talking about when you're coming back down the ramp?
yea when ur coming back down the ramp

it's a balance thing. gonna be easier to ride the tranny backwards with your feet slightly offset like you describe
thanks I appreciate the help. It's just gonna take some practice.
