K2 skates. Are they coming back from the dead.

I recently replied to a discussion about what skate had the largest sole plates and someone had mentioned that the k2 pat lennen skate had the largest and someone els said K2 was Dead. so my question to you is do you think K2 is dead or could the new skate make K2 come back from the dead?

Well as for the notion that K2 are old school skates is kinda true. Remember that K2 gave us the first soft boot skate. (my first pair of aggressive skates) Fattys were the Remz of the industry in the 90's. and they tried to make a new skate with really large soul plates. (Pat Lennen and Eric Shrijn Models but they didn't have much luck with them. I think they finally got the idea and are improving upon an already great skate. now i think the color is not that good or the design. but what thy have done is made a new soul system for the skates giving them a bigger soul. the new ones are called the Varsity. i think if they keep going in this direction on improvements we could see K2 come back from the brink of death. check the link. http://www.rollernews.com/k2-varsity-skates-another-pic-more-infos_...
