i would start with either a soul grind or a mizou. later i would learn frontsides, then turn them into royales. next i would get porn stars and acids, then makios. once you learned those, try to learn some of them ally-oop. keep in mind this may take you a couple months to learn all of these so dont worry. dont rush them either, try to get them all really solid before moving on to the next tricks. as youre learning these i would try to learn 180s. 180 off curbs a lot, then try to find a 3 set or something. later work on 360s, and fakie 360s. just remember that its okay to step on grinds when youre learning them, it helps a lot. just try to learn to jump into them eventually. hope that helps
oh, and none of these tricks are easy at all. they are all extremely hard to do, they just become easy as you get better. so dont be discouraged if you hear people say they are easy, but you cant do them yet. they will become easy. remember to keep your knees bent, and your feet apart. good to have a new rollerblader here
hey thanks alot man it really helps and also im having some major trouble jumping what u recomend so i can get abit more air
Pulling your legs up is what I've found to be helpful to get more air. Jumping with skates on is kind of a skill you get better at as you progress. Hope that helped. :D
I will share my strange habits with you. Sounds stupid I know, but it worked for me.
I was having trouble getting my blades up under me and found myself doing pathetic bunny hops. I figured other than getting enough speed, you need to get your muscles in shape. So I started randomly jumping up and down during the day with my trainers to get more height. If you're really serious about it, you can put some weights around your ankles. I didn't bother with that. The random jumping, although can be a little alarming if you have company, should help you naturalise the feel of it and will definately make it easier to make bigger jumps. once you can jump from a standstill and have your knees tucked up against your belly [almost at least], doing it on blades will be a breeze.
i used weights but just wore them all the time when i was'nt skating; walking eating sleeping working all of it
it really helped i can jump onto rails as high as the bottom of my ribs from flat
hmmm.... you know something, I just might do that. it didn't occur to me to just wear the weights all the time, especially if I know I'm going to be walking alot. Thanx man
no worries helped me alot
