Question for Dc metro riders.  Would I be able to get away with my skates on in the D.C. metro, even if I'm just going to the next stop?

maybe if you get through the gates they prolly wont say anything but if your going somewhere like metro center youll prolly wanna take your liners out...or just bring shoes
I'd have to say, bring a change of shoes or something. Metro doesn't allow you to ride on anything but itself, so I'd imagine they would be nazis about blades for "public safety."
My friend was stopped by Metro security for trying to bring a bike on the train. He wasn't even riding it or anything, they were just being assholes. You're bound to run into people like that. You'd probably be better off wearing regular shoes and carrying the skates with you. Maybe bring a backpack or something.

If you're only going on stop you may as well just skate there. It takes about five minutes to walk from one stop to another. (Depending upon which stop you're trying to get to. It varies.)
