So my wife shows me a video of the Yasutoko brothers the other night and all the old memories come flooding back. I skated a lot in Jr. high and high school then got caught up holding down a living, going to the military, getting married, and going to college. Here I am at 27, haven't sk8ed in years, and all those great memories have had me thinking about getting a pair of skates for the last few days. Then I think, am I too old to start up again. The question is I had fun when I was younger but am I too old now? I see a lot of the pro's now are younger and start to think that it would be weird for some old dude to start trying to skate again, what do you all think?

hell no man never to old get you some skates and start doing what you loved to do
As a younger skater (19), I don't think it's weird as long as you're picking it back up for the right reasons. Hope you're having fun :-)
hey dude, I'm 26, having a kid, girlfriend and got the whole family-thing going down. I just started skating again after like a 9 year break. it's hard getting back in the game, but you teach a lot faster than when learned it the first time. JUST GO FOR IT!!! If you do the thing you love, you get happier, your wife get happier -> see where i'm going?? ;D

Get those skates man, and go out there and shred!!!
SKATE! I'm 32 and just bought me some skates...I havent skated for 7 years or more...As long as your think your body can take the punishment, DO IT!...Skate for the love of it...
i'm 27, and i'm entered in aggressive world 1 year ago :)
I have been skating since i was 11..there have been long periods of time when i didnt skate...im 29 now, and im gonna start skating alot more..my body cant take it as it is, so im going to start doing yoga, and stretching, basically start taking care of my body better, so i can thrash it skating hahahaha..never too late bro..just try and be the best you can be, and above all, have loads of fun!!
I think that happened to me as i was in same situation as you.
First i was skating for 4 years started as 14 year old. At 18 i find gf and was with her for 5.5 years and in that time i didnt skate. She broke with me before 2 weeks and i buyed skates again. First think what you will see that the rail or slope or ramp is really huge versus what it was before. Also the fails will hurt more. Alot more:) But the feeling when you will first time slide the slope or spin even 180 in ramp again is what i will remmeber forever in my life. I was near crying from hapiness. It was so emocional freedom i never had feel before. Best is that you dont need to teach the tricks again, you know them. Also the ppls what was skating there was just saying hey now i will do the "insert name of trick" - you will not understand, but they dont care they will show you and you will be in again. And as oldest you are the lesser you feel the fear of the ramp, slope rail whatever. I bet you will be free on every slope, rail , vert like you never was before. And you will be better then before as you will know the price that what are you doing and what for are you doing what are you doing.

sorry for my english, its not my mature language.
Too true bro...too true!
yeah im 27 as well and i've just started again after more than 6 years brake. Just my advice cuz i've just dislocated my shoulder on saturday sesion when you coming back after long brake just remember that now if you dont do sports your body isnt so flexible so before sesions allways proper warmup is requied :)
good luck and order skates today :)
Neva too old.
