Subtorch replied to Hunter Ihrig's discussion What are the best bearings out there for around $40?
"Hey Hunter, I had some stock bearings on my setup for a while and they were ok. When my friend who owned a skate shop showed me some new bearings that he was testing before Christmas I decided to get them as soon as they would come out.…"

hey my friend is building a halfpipe, i was wondering how much flat you put on yours and how long it took you to make. thanks.

Hey cab,

I put 12 feet of flat. I like to have a lot of room. I love it and it's not too long. I was working alone most of the time so it took me about half a month. The structural part went really fast. It was the two layers of primer and the two layers of paint that took a long time. I got to admit that adding the soundproofing took a while too.

All this hard work paid off though. After a whole summer of abuse, it still looks top shape. ...and my neighboors haven't complained about the noise either. Let me know if you have any other questions.
