What makes a pro skate?

In what ways are pro skates different from beginner skates? Can't you just change the frames, wheels etc, on a beginner skate, and make them a pro skate?

Frames vs. Weight

So, I'm a little bigger guy. 6'0 235. I was wondering if that will have any effect on the frames. I was thinking about getting kizer frames, due to the fact that they are thicker. Thus maybe more…Continue

Soul plate lifespan

So I was just wandering about how long on average a soul plate lasts. I get that it does depend on how hard you skate, so we'll go from beginner skates, to advanced hardcore skaters. How long do you think they last?

Cool

So I was on inlinewarehouse, and I went to the custom creater and made a skate and it comes out to under $100. This is what I went with

*Rollerblade solo tribe 09 Boot

*Kizer Fluid III frames

*Chimera Pianowski wheels

*Eulogy 608 crap bearings

What do you think? Not bad for a beginner skate?

RB Solo Era or USD Realms?

So I've come to a crossroads in my decision. I'm not sure which to get. I really like the USD skate, but I'm not to sure about the non replaceable cuff. The RB's look solid and well built. Anyone who has skated these let me know. Preferrably the Realms, cause I'd like to know how the cuff holds up.

Replacement parts?

So, I've got my fist pair of skates picked out. They're going to be the Rollerblade Solo Era skates (ordering them in about 2 weeks). So what my question is, is do the Rollerblade TRS parts work on the Solo skates? I'm getting confused as hell.
