how do I topside on vert?

I guess I should practice on a box first but I don't have one, also dont have a mini ramp to learn on, all i have is vert, i can soul alright but can't seem to topside very well.

I'm in CT, if you have a crew to roll with I would make it a day trip and take a train into the city, especially if you know some spots, I would be lucky if I had a friend to acompany me down there, but I am definatley going to hit the city…
