My aggressive inline adventure.

Alright! Well this is my first blog post on the site. So I just got my pair of Razor Genesys Red LE skates in the mail and had my first session with them. First let me point out that I'm somewhat new to aggressive skating, I did dabble in it a year ago but stopped because I grew out of my skates and was focused more on skateboarding. I lately found that while skateboarding can be fun, it just isn't cutting it for me. The tricks get me frustrated and I was just not enjoying myself. Thats when I remembered about blading. I quickly started watching videos on both youtube and right here and I was hooked. I ordered a pair of skates immediately and found myself too eager to get them in the mail.

Well, they're here and I LOVE them. I loved the feeling of skating again and I'm having so much fun with it! Now, I am a beginner and so I took things slow. I started out doing a few jumps here and there, getting my balance and whatnot. Then I moved onto 180's. My first few were a bit sketchy because I wasn't committing but after a few tries I was nailing them. Such a nice feeling!!! :P Then I tried a 360, that didn't work out so much, I think I need to practice a bit more before that happens. ;)

I then moved onto trying grinds. I found a nice ledge to start on. It was small and I figured it would be perfect for a beginner like me. So I tried a few Frontside stalls on it, which were trickier than I thought they would be! Finally I got the hang of it and did a few runs with no wax so I could get a groove set in my skates. At first it was tough but I noticed after every try it only got easier. Soon I was feeling confident and put a good layer of wax on the ledge. I approached it with little speed and got a feel for what the grind would be like. Before I knew it I was approaching it with a good amount of speed. It wasn't the cleanest Frontside you'll ever see but it felt nice to know I was getting better!

All in all I had a fun day! I'm getting better and I can't wait to have another session tomorrow! I'll probably be posting these blogs up so I can get out all my thoughts, plus I thought it'd be cool to make these blogs to show my progress and how I'm improving. :D

Hopefully soon I'll be posting videos of me doing clean tricks like I see many members doing here!
