So this is a continuation from my forum post about being too old to skate. I posted that cause I haven't skated in a long time and want to get back into it. After looking into where the inline scene there is there is none. There are no stores and no booters out here where I live. Skateboarding has dominated the aggressive world it seems, it's kinda crazy. When I look up videos I see booters wearing skinny pants which is also a trip since when I skated everyone was wearing hella baggy pants.

I looked up an old friend who I use to skate with and he said inline went underground. So it looks like online stores are the only way to get gear and forums are the only way to network. I think I convinced by old friend to start skating again so we are going to try and bring back the culture here near the Sacramento area. If anyone that reads this is from around here hit me up. I know it's going to be interesting to skate at parks cause there are only skateboarders there now. I'm not sure if anything has changed since when I was skating, but there was always a rivalry between booters and skaters back then, how is that now?

the booter and skater rivalry has gotten progressively more retarded as time has gone on. i know what you mean, i started aggro inline back in 98, ive seen all these changes, and havent liked em one bit. im tryin along with a couple of my friends to bring back the good ol days of skating, but nobody really goes for it anymore. at least, thats how it is way over here in CT. lol

I personally hate when guys wear skinny jeans and really wish that fad would go away. The rivalry between booters and boarders is still kinda there amongst the older skaters, but id say about 80% of the people you're going to run into at the skatepark really just wanna do their thing. That whole rivalry is a little ridiculous As long as you're not getting in the way and you respect everyone you should have no problem.

well guys in my personal opinion, I think inline is starting to come back over here in Australia, although it was never a big thing, I am seeing more and more people tearing up parks with blades now.

And the Main reason I started blading was from seeing a guy at a skate park do a 720 on blades, and I was just like oh shit I need to try that out. Now I am just in love with blading.
