ya, falls are part of the sport. Just keep up the practice and skate with some friends

when you grind, just think about standing on the rail comfortable, like you have to be on there for a long time. it will make your grinds stylish. try your stances on the rail without rolling and see how long you can hold them (knees bent)

don't limit yourself to one direction of approach either, try to learn your tricks left and right, some tricks came easier to me, sometimes you can bend one ankle better than the other and depending on the trick, you just got to keep tryin and do whats comfortable

A good way to begin is to start out with stalls. Approach the rail straight up at a 90 degree angle. This will get your feet used to placing it firm on the rail, and it will also get your body used to the balance it needs to stay adjusted on the rail.

If you just start attacking a rail at speed, you are gonna spend a majority of your time on your ass, and your palms are gonna look like a guy that has been jacking off too much, because of your efforts to try to break your fall.

Once you get comfy with stalls, you should know what the basic positioning of what your skates needs to be for you to maintain your balance. Start out using the side of your boot to grind, as this is the easiest, and then work up from there.

I am no teacher, and it has been 7 years since I was a noob, but i was just trying to offer you some practical advice. Keep at it Girl!
