make sure you have really good health insurance...next make good friends with your local er people chances are youll need to know these people well...third focus jsut focus on what your gonna do and dont bail out half way or you will get worked hard..and finally dont put your hand out if your gonna fall tuck and roll scratches and bruises are a walk in the park compaired to a broken wrist or hand...oh yah one more thing the faster you go at a trick the easier it is to do dont be afraid to go as fast as you can

Sorry to do this to you J, but I had to throw in an "evolve" plug. Granted, a new skater has no business in Xsjado boots, but sooner or later, evolution will take its course. The same way short giraffes died out because they could not reach the tall leaves to get food, sooner or later other skaters will not be able to be able to thrive without the Xsjado boot.

From oldschool 2 new, live in your boots. dont walk, run, or drive! SKATE!!!!!! Hit the "simple" tricks till your legs fall sole without thinking about it, and practice all grinds by stalling first, rail 2nd

When I first started skating, I lived in a shitty old apartment without internet. I learned everything I could do by simply building it up by practice and watching my friends. If I would have had internet back then, you can bet your last dollar I would have been looking up everything there is to know about blading!

Best advise I can give you -- Don't give up!

Learn how to fall without taking too much of a hit. Once you fall without much pain, you wont be as afraid to push your limits. And you MUST push them! If you're not ending your day trying at least 1 new thing (or at least perfecting something you already know) you're probably not skating hard enough.

That's just my opinion though.

ben how do you know the most you've dropped in on is 8 foot

no pain no game
but wearing a helmet is always a good idea
a big problem when i am telling my friends how to do stuff is they don't trust themselves
so trust yourself and when you feel you can do something just do it
