Stopping?

Ok this may sound really dumb, I just bought some K2 Fatty Pro skates b/c I want to start passive inline skating...and i was wondering if your going rediculously fast...how do you stop?...and the skates i bought dont have the little part that you lean back on to stop.

So...I know how to skate and everything...but im worried ill be going down some hill...and not being able to stop...or about to atemp a trick but change my mind...but im already going fast...

So...please help me out....haha.

try t stop. take your more comfortable foot and drag it on your wheels behind your other foot in the shape of a T.

I use a sort of hockey stop. Basically turn so one of your skates is in front of you perpendicular to your line of motion. The skate in back is turned backward but stays in line with the line of motion.

Sort of a T stop, but with the top of the T in front I guess.

yeah like singer says T stop but instead of just waiting you should do a turn during it turning 180 or 360 (if your luck 540) slows you down a lot faster

i normally just do a little circle when i get to intersections to stop. keep one foot planted, and then use the other to go around.
